CAMPBELLSVILLE, KY – Tigers close out back to back days of swimming with win at home over Shawnee State and Bethel University.
Starting out the weekend the Tigers traveled down the road to Lindsey Wilson for a bout against the Blue Raiders and Asbury University.
Luis Castro started out with the first top three finish of the weekend. Castro finished third in the 1,000-yard freestyle in 10:25.82.
Sebastian Escobar was the first Tiger to earn a victory in the 200-yard freestyle with a winning time of 1:45.69. In his second appearance in an individual event Friday evening, Escobar won the 100-yard freestyle in 48.04, a whole 1.77 seconds ahead of the field. He earned a runner-up position in the 500-yard freestyle in 4:58.99.
Campbellsville finished the meet with a third place finish in 1:33.92.

Llewellyn Crewe-Brown,
Lucca Motta, and Castro were all on the relay.
Jumping to Saturday, Campbellsville won the tri-meet between Shawnee State and Bethel. Campbellsville earned runner-up in the 200-meter medley in 1:57.29. Crewe-Brown,
Gavin Johnson, Motta, and Will Luciano were on the relay.
Eli Slaughter earned the first individual win for Campbellsville in the 800-meter freestyle in 11:07.45. Escobar was able to earn his third win of the weekend in the 200-meter freestyle in 1:59.28. Escobar won his second event of the day in the 100-meter freestyle in 54.48.
Crewe-Brown was runner-up in the 100-meter backstroke in 1:04.77.
Gavin Johnson earned the bronze position in the 100-meter breaststroke in 1:15.39. Castro was the champion in the 200-meter butterfly in 2:23.38. Castro won the 200-meter backstroke in 2:17.83
In the 50-meter freestyle, Motta was able to win in 25.77, which was .46 ahead of second place at the wall.
Burnison and
Grant Luckett were in the silver and bronze medal position in the 400-meter freestyle. Burnison was second in 5:03.83 while Luckett was third in 5:06.70.
Crewe-Brown and Luciano were first and third in the 100-meter butterfly. Crewe-Brown won in 1:04.38 while Luciano was third in the event at 1:07.80.
In the 400 IM, Escobar cruised to a school record of 5:04.60. In the final event of the weekend for the Tigers, Escobar, Crewe-Brown, Motta, and Castro won the event at the wall in 1:42.68 while second was .34 seconds behind them.
Campbellsville will now travel back to Lindsey Wilson on Saturday November 5
th when they meet the Blue Raiders once again and Union College.
