COLUMBIA, Ky. – The #11 Tigers wrestling team traveled down Highway 55 to take part in the NAIA Challenge Duals at Lindsey Wilson College Sunday. The Tigers finished their afternoon going 1-2 through three matches, their win coming 52-0 over #8 Marian University. The other two duals were close: #5 Indiana Tech just besting Campbellsville, 25-22 and #9 Menlo taking the struggle, 26-16.

Izaeah Beavers was able to go 3-0. He got a solid pin in the Indiana Tech match in 6:15 against Michael Tharpe. Beavers grabbed another pin against Marian in 1:57 as well. His final victory came in a 6-5 decision over Menlo.

Cameron Henderson took a win against Marian's Dylan McKelvy by pinfall with only 2:51 expired.

Shane Watson won by 8-6 decision against Marian University.

Dayton Marvel also got a hard-fought victory by decision in the Indiana Tech match winning in sudden victory 5-3 against #8 Nick Gates. Marvel also defeated Marian with a pin in 2:50.

Jake Hurst won a 2-1 decision against Marian.

Gavin Smith won by technical fall, 18-0, in the Indiana Tech match and then by technical fall again over Marian, 16-0.

Pate Eastin earned a 1:03 pinfall over Marian and also managed a decision victory against Indiana Tech winning his match 7-0.

Curtis Thomas won by pin in the Marian bout with him getting the pin after 5:26.

Levid Rodriguez beat #14 Afton Silvis (Menlo) in 7-6 decision and lost to #15 Nathan Critchfield (Indiana Tech) in a 9-6 decision. Grayson Stevens was able to wrap his match up with Marian efficiently winning by technical fall (15-0).

Jaden Sonner was able to take the heavyweight match against Indiana Tech's #13 Braydon Erb getting the win at 4:32 into the match to move the Tigers up in scoring.
The Tigers next match will take place on December 17
th at the Avila Duals in Kansas City, Missouri. The Tigers will look to build on their steady success going into the winter break.
