Tigers ranked 15th in NAIA Preseason Coaches' Poll

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Tigers, having notched their first ever NAIA Men's Volleyball Championship run last season, have been ranked 15th in the 2023 Preseason Coaches' Poll.

Campbellsville went 23-8 last season, finishing second in the Mid-South Conference Tournament and advancing to the NAIA Tournament Semifinals. The Tigers got their first national tourney win in program history when they bested fourth seed Vanguard University (Calif.). This season, they have a new head coach in Alfonso Alvarez. Alvarez was most recently the men's volleyball head coach at Bluefield University, taking the team from a 1-13 overall record in his first season and growing the program to a 15-19 finish in just his third year at the helm. He left Bluefield as the winningest coach in program history.

The only other MSC team in the rankings is the Georgetown Tigers. They were the MSC regular season and tournament champions in 2022.

The Tigers' first game of the 2023 season is January 27th against the Reinhardt Eagles.
