KANSAS CITY, Mo. — #11 Campbellsville Men's Wrestling went 4-1 on Saturday in the Avila Eagle Duals. In head-to-head competition, the Tigers bested #16 Baker 34-19, host institution (RV) Avila 32-13, (RV) Oklahoma City 34-9, and (RV) Saint Mary 35-7, losing only to #6 Ottawa University in their last dual on Saturday.

Izaeah Beavers was the lone 125 for the day going 1-1 on the weekend with a big pin coming against Casey Gross of Oklahoma City in a 6:24 pin.
133: The only 133 to compete on Saturday was
Troy Kennedy. He finished the day with a 3-2 record, with two decision victories over Avila and Oklahoma City and a pinfall in his second match against Baker University in 2:50.

Shane Watson and
Cole Fort both wrestled in 141. Watson went 1-2, winning his matchup against Baker by a 12-1 major decision. Fort went 1-1 taking a close one against Luke Ward of Avilia University by a 5-4 decision.

Jake Hurst was 2-1 with a huge win coming over #13 Drake Vannoy of Oklahoma City in a 5:53 pin.

Shad Slone had two wins on the day, including a 17-0 Technical Fall against Saint Mary in fourth round action.

Greyson Stevens had himself a day going 3-0 and capturing wins over two ranked competitors: #9 Tucker Tomlinson (Ottawa) in a 9-3 decision and #19 Jack Kitchingham (Oklahoma City) in a 2-0 decision.

Joel Hatchett combined went 4-0. Sonner got big wins against Avila's #19 Griffin Qualls with a 4-1 decision and Ottawa's #21 Justin Darter in a 1:57 pin. Hatchett's victories were a 9-2 decision over Oklahoma City and a 3:28 pinfall against Saint Mary.
