Tigers close out Mid-South Conference Championships in third place

KINGSPORT, TN – Campbellsville was able to finish out the Mid-South Conference Championships with one last bronze medal in their hands. 
 
The Tigers were able to collect their final bronze medal in the 400-yard freestyle relay. Sebastian Escobar, Llewellyn Crewe-Brown, Thomas Webb, and Ian Lopez touched the wall with a time of 3:09.30.
 
Escobar earned key points earlier in the day finishing just off the medal podium in fourth place. In the 1650 freestyle, Escobar was able to cover the event in a time of 16:22.57. Grant Luckett and Elijah Slaughter earned themselves on the score sheet. Luckett placed 13th in the event with a time of 18:50.13 while Slaughter was 16th overall at 20:24.03.
 
Luckett and William Luciano earned the final key points for the Tigers in the 200-yard butterfly. Luckett placed 11thoverall with a time of 2:14.88 while Luciano was close behind in 12th finishing in 2:16.14.
 
Campbellsville was able to claim third place overall in the meet. The team will now have three weeks to prepare for the NAIA National Championships.
