BOWLING GREEN, KY – Campbellsville had six student athletes earn All-Conference honors including
Ryan Smith being named the Setter of the Year and
Bastian Korreck being named the Freshman of the Year.
Smith has collected 429 assists on the season so far heading into the conference tournament this weekend. He has been able to add to the offense with 61 kills and also defensively with 36 digs and 40 blocks during the regular season. Smith was named to First Team All-Conference
Korreck has made an immediate impact since his first time on the court for the Tigers. Korreck leads the team offensively with 242 kills so far. Getting past him at the net proves to be just as hard with 108 total blocks including 26 solo blocks. He leads the country in solo blocks, block assists, total blocks, blocks per set, and is 11
th in the nation for total kills. Korreck was named First Team All-Conference.
Ho Yin Leung,
Jason Camacho,
Eric Heller, and
Jay Montalvo were named Second Team All-Conference.
Leung has been an all-around threat all season. The senior has had 124 kills, 29 digs, and 21 blocks on the season. Camacho is behind Smith in assists for the Tigers. Camacho has brought in 357 assists during the regular season so far. He has proven himself this year on the defensive side of the net with 72 digs.
Heller a 6-8 middle blocker from Switzerland has been hard to stop during the second half of the season. Heller has 117 kills and 43 total blocks on the season. Montalvo has had 42 of the 91 digs so far this year come in the last three matches alone and also having 28 assists.
Campbellsville will face the winner of Life University and Midway University on Thursday March 31
