COLUMBUS, GA – Sebastian Escobar put on a show Thursday evening earning All-American honors in the 500-yard freetsyle.
Escobar was narrowly able to get himself into sixth position in the race when the placement came down to a wall touch. Kristof Monori of Savannah College of Arts and Design placed sixth at 4:37.59 while Escobar was just behind in seventh at 4:37.64.
In the 200-yard freestyle relay, Escobar was joined by teammates
Ian Lopez,
Nicholas Grabauskas, and
Llewellyn Crewe-Brown earning 14 points in the relay. The team was able to complete the event in 1:25.70.
Lopez earned seven points in the 50-yard freestyle. The event in which can be separated down to the hundredth of a second, Lopez placed 10
th overall with a time of 21.10.
After the second day of competition, Campbellsville is sitting in 12
th place with 37 points.
