KANSAS CITY, MO – For the second time in program history and the second year in a row Campbellsville is headed to the NAIA National Championship in Des Moines, Iowa.
The Tigers made it to the Mid-South Conference Championships match last weekend which gave them an automatic berth to the NAIA National Championship. Georgetown College won the regular season and tournament title which also gave them an automatic berth.
Georgetown defeated Campbellsville in the Mid-South Conference Championship match 3-1 Saturday afternoon. Last year the Tigers were knocked out in the group stage at the NAIA Championships falling 0-2 to their opponents.
Campbellsville will have a tall task ahead of them in their pool play. They will face Vanguard and William Penn. The Tigers come in as the 12
th seed in the tournament with Vanguard being the four seed and William Penn being the fifth seed.
The Tigers will play on Tuesday April 12
th at 4 p.m. CT / 5 p.m. ET against Vanguard, then returning on April 13
th at 4 p.m. CT / 5 p.m. ET playing William Penn.
