TAYLOR, IN – Lady Tigers able to prove their legitimacy at the Ray Bullock Invitational Friday evening.
Campbellsville had a 1-5 spread of 59.2 seconds this week.
Christy Shank and
Emma Steff were a close 1-2 combo for the Lady Tigers. Shank placed 14
th in the standings at 19:52.2 while Steff was two seconds behind in 15
th at 19:54.3.
Hailie LaMar carried the three spot in between Campbellsville's packs this evening. LaMar finished close to Shank and Steff in the standings finishing in 21
st running a time of 20:22.2.
Hailey Shank and
Meredith Wilson came in as the 4-5 man for the team. Shank was 24
th overall with her split time of 20:42.4 while Wilson was 26
th at 20:51.4.
Nina Daman and
Taylor Morgan rounded out the Lady Tigers top seven. Daman was the sixth man in for Campbellsville placing 29
th overall at 20:57.3 while Morgan was the seventh runner in with her time of 22:14.8.
In the team standings, Taylor University won the meet with a perfect score of 15 points. The Trojans are currently ranked 4
th in the NAIA polls. Lewis-Clark University finished with 59 points and are sitting at 23
rd in the NAIA rankings. Campbellsville came in third overall with 75 points.
The team will have next weekend off to prepare for one of the premier meets in the country on October 1
st at the Greater Louisville Classic.
