BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Campbellsville competed at the Mid-South Conference Championships on Friday morning with two qualifying for the NAIA National Championship in two weeks, the Tigers finished fourth overall at the meet
Christy Shank led the way with her third-place finish, ending the race in 21:49.8. She broke her school record and was the lone Tiger named first-team all-conference. This podium finish qualified her for the NAIA Championships in Columbia, Missouri. Shank qualified as the first individual to cross the line, not on the winning team.
Joining Christy in Missouri is
Nina Daman. Nina finished with a time of 22.19 and ended the race in eighth place. Daman was awarded second-team all-conference and got the NAIA bid as the third to cross the line, not on the winning team.
Brianna Collins finished in 30th place at 24:53.8.
Maggie Jewell was the fourth Tiger to cross the line in 25:18.5, ending in 37th.
Jennifer Buttery followed closely behind at 26:06, good enough for 40th.
Madison Welch and
Cailyn Godsey rounded out the top seven with 42nd and 43rd-place finishes. They went 26:12.3 and 26:18.2, respectively.
