KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Campbellsville University Softball team received votes in the NAIA Softball Preseason Coaches' Poll, the national office announced Wednesday.
The Lady Tigers amassed a 27-18 (10-8 MSC) record in the 2025 season. The squad was 14-1 on their home field, but 8-7 at neutral sites and 5-10 away. The team's top hitters
Jessie Daniels (batting .426, 60 hits, 23 homeruns),
Korey Harris (batting .406, 60 hits), and
Selynna Metcalfe (batting .390, 48 hits, ten homeruns) all make their returns in what should remain an explosive offense.
Standout senior pitcher
Emma Markham will return to the circle, putting up a 3.38 ERA and 61 strikeouts in 2025. Junior
Leah Holland will be back too after leading the pitching staff with her eight wins in 2025.
The Mid-South Conference Tournament Champion Cumberlands Patriots were the lone MSC team ranked in the top 25, sitting 7th. The Freed-Hardeman Lions were also receiving votes.
The first regular-season rating is scheduled for Wednesday, March 4th.
