KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Heading into the holiday break with a flawless 13-0 record, the Campbellsville University women's basketball team maintained its grip on the #3 spot in the third NAIA Women's Basketball Coaches' Top 25 Poll of the regular season, released by the national office on Wednesday.
The Lady Tigers have now held the #3 ranking in consecutive polls, validating their position with one of the most dominant starts in program history. Campbellsville sits just behind Mid-South Conference rival Bethel (Tenn.) and defending national champion Dordt (Iowa), keeping the top tier of the NAIA unchanged as the calendar turns to 2026.
Through 13 games, the Lady Tigers boast the nation's most overwhelming point differential, outscoring opponents by an average of 41.6 points per game (90.8 to 49.2). The offense has been a juggernaut, eclipsing the century mark three times and shooting a blistering 47.9% from the field as a team.
The defensive intensity has been equally impressive. The "press-and-panic" style of the Lady Tigers is forcing opponents into 25.0 turnovers per game, which Campbellsville converts into instant offense. The team averages 17.2 steals per contest, led by senior defensive anchor
Tyra Flowers, who has already swiped 49 steals (3.8 per game) this season while also leading the team on the glass with 7.7 rebounds per game.
Offensively, the Lady Tigers are the epitome of unselfish basketball, assisting on nearly 64% of their made field goals (278 assists on 437 made baskets).
Whitney Hay continues to be the offensive catalyst, leading the team with 16.4 points per game on 54.2% shooting. She is supported by a balanced attack that features sophomore
Dea Bradley (12.5 ppg) and the spark-plug scoring of freshman
Lainey Johnson (9.6 ppg), who has knocked down a team-high 17 three-pointers.
The #3 Lady Tigers will now take their perfect record to the Aloha State for a major test against top-tier competition. Campbellsville travels to Honolulu, Hawaii, to face perennial power Concordia University (Neb.) on Thursday, December 18th, followed by a showdown with Dakota Wesleyan on Friday, December 19th. Both match-ups will provide a national stage for the Lady Tigers to make their case for the #1 spot in the new year.
