CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Campbellsville University Athletics has named Chase Bulten, the former assistant coach, as the new head coach of the men's and women's cross country programs, the office announced.
Director of Track and Field, Coach Mark Miller, expressed his excitement about the announcement. "The cross country and track and field programs are excited for Coach Bulten to lead the cross country program into its next chapter."
Coach Miller continued, "With a balanced roster on the men's and women's programs, I believe Coach Bulten is up for the challenge and will continue to grow the program that Coach Harris worked tirelessly to create."
Bulten, who has led the program as an assistant coach for the past two years, will transition to head coach after the departure of previous head coach Corbin Harris.
"I am thankful to accept the position as Head Cross Country Coach. The past two years serving as an assistant coach under a great mentor have been invaluable to my growth, and I'm deeply thankful for the guidance and support I've received." Bulten said. "Campbellsville has truly felt like home to me, and I'm both excited and humbled to now lead these outstanding teams."
When asked about the program's future, Bulten stated, "My vision moving forward is rooted in the belief that there are no shortcuts to excellence. We will be a program built on doing the little things right every day with structure, purpose, and discipline."
Coach Bulten concluded, "I am committed to pouring into our student-athletes, not only to help them succeed in competition but to equip them for life beyond it."
"Coach Bulten will continue the pursuit of championship teams in terms of character, academics, and spirituality," stated Miller.
