KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Campbellsville University men's volleyball team continues its historic march through the 2026 campaign, climbing to #4 in the latest NAIA Men's Volleyball Coaches' Top 15 Poll released Wednesday by the national office.
The Tigers (14-0), who checked in at #5 in the previous poll, capitalized on their season-opening winning streak to leap into the top four. This marks the program's highest national ranking since reaching #3 during the 2021 season.
Defending national champion The Master's (Calif.) maintained its grip on the #1 spot with all seven first-place votes following a 6-0 start. Saint Xavier (Ill.) held steady at #2, while Park (Mo.) moved into the #3 slot. Missouri Valley (Mo.) trails Campbellsville to round out the top five.
The Tigers' elevation in the national spotlight is backed by an unprecedented resume. Campbellsville has proven to be the ultimate road warriors, securing 10 of their 14 victories outside of Gosser Gymnasium, including a pristine 7-0 mark in neutral-site clashes and a 3-0 record in true away matches.
Statistically, Campbellsville's execution has been surgically precise. The offense is hitting .285 as a collective, putting down 12.92 kills per set. Setter
Alonzo Vega continues to be the elite maestro of the attack, pacing a team that averages 12.43 assists per set.
The offensive wealth has been distributed effectively between the pins and the middle. Opposite
Denzel Madrigal and outside hitter
Ayoube Hamadache have shouldered the primary scoring load, while middle blocker
Pedro Zavatini has established himself as one of the most efficient terminal attackers in the country. A youth movement has also bolstered the rotation, with freshmen
Savvas Christou,
Camilo Fernandez, and
Fernando Rodriguez providing critical scoring depth during the unbeaten run.
Defensively, the Tigers have suffocated opponents at the net and in the backcourt, registering 1.85 blocks and 10.82 digs per set. Strong service pressure has also yielded 1.57 aces per set, keeping rival offenses consistently out of system.
