CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. — The #4 Campbellsville University men's volleyball team hosted the (RV) Oakland City University Mighty Oaks on Saturday to close out a weekend slate of conference matchups inside Gosser Gymnasium. Despite Oakland City mounting a vigorous resistance in the early goings, Campbellsville built insurmountable momentum to secure a straight-set sweep (25-18, 25-17, 25-22).

Oakland City came into the second set looking to retaliate, establishing an early rhythm to build a 12-8 advantage. Facing their largest deficit of the afternoon, the Tigers turned to the service line. With
Andrew Ovalle serving, Campbellsville unleashed a massive 9-0 scoring run that completely flipped the script. The sequence featured staggering kills from Madrigal and Zavatini, compounded by a flurry of attack errors from the frustrated Mighty Oaks. That massive swing put the Tigers ahead 17-12, a lead they comfortably protected to secure the second set 25-17.
Determined to avoid a sweep, the Mighty Oaks kept the score tight throughout the opening half of the third set. Oakland City aimed to extend the match, trading side-outs deep into the frame. The Tigers managed to carve out a narrow two-point cushion late, relying on Madrigal and Zavatini as their primary terminal options. Holding match point at 24-21, the Tigers conceded a final kill to Oakland City before a costly service error by the Mighty Oaks ended the threat, clinching the 25-22 set and the match.
