CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – On Tuesday night, the rivalry showdown lived up to the hype as the #8 Campbellsville University men's wrestling team defeated #24 Lindsey Wilson College in the "Battle of Highway 55." The Tigers utilized a potent offensive attack to earn a 27-17 Mid-South Conference victory, rattling off six individual wins (all of which garnered bonus points) to secure the dual.

After dropping the opening bout at 125 pounds, where Lindsey Wilson's Jorge Bravo edged Aluma Enwa by a narrow 5-4 decision, the Tigers responded quickly to control the middle weights.

At 133 pounds, #14 Izaeah Beavers jump-started Campbellsville with an explosive showing against #24 Alex Tabor. Beavers racked up takedowns at will, rolling to a 19-3 technical fall (4:46) to put the Tigers on the board and take a lead they would not relinquish.

Lindsey Wilson answered at 141 pounds, as #4 Adrian Ayala defeated #9 Nick Moore by a 4-1 decision, momentarily cutting the deficit. However, Campbellsville regained momentum beginning at 149 pounds, where #8 Nik Yancey delivered a steady performance to earn a 10-1 major decision over Nathan Payton.

The Tigers continued to build separation at 157 pounds as #14 Antwaun Burns controlled the action for a 12-4 major decision against #21 Emmanuel Chelestin.

One bout later, #4 Jasitin Kubwimana kept the bonus-point train rolling. The sophomore powered his way to a 21-5 technical fall over Brandon Irigoyen, needing just 2:39 to end the match.
At 174 pounds, #7 Shad Slone maintained the Tigers' dominance with a lightning-fast offensive display. Slone secured a 16-1 technical fall in 2:37 against Melvin Patterson, extending Campbellsville's lead to an insurmountable margin.

Henry Williams followed at 184 pounds with a strong showing of his own, earning a 13-1 major decision over Cale Johnson to cap Campbellsville's scoring at 27 points.

Lindsey Wilson picked up wins in the final two bouts, with Standford Thompson pinning Jake Heady (3:48) at 197 pounds and Jaylin Bien-Aime earning a technical fall over Ethan Heady at heavyweight, but the outcome had already been decided by the Tigers' relentless bonus-point barrage in the middle of the lineup.
