BARBOURVILLE, Ky. – On Tuesday, the (RV) Tigers secured a 9-7 midweek victory over Union Commonwealth, picking up momentum before entering conference play. After trading runs throughout the early and middle innings, the Tigers broke through with a key three-run inning in the seventh inning and held off a late rally from the Bulldogs to close out the win.
- Anthony Esposito led the Tigers offensively, going 3-for-5 with two doubles and two RBIs, including a two-run single in the second inning that put Campbellsville on the board.
- Tate Wischnack recorded three hits, including a double and a home run, driving in three runs and scoring twice to power the Tigers' offense.
- Thomas Krueger added two doubles, an RBI, and two runs scored, including a run-scoring double in the eighth inning for insurance.
- Nick Hagen sparked the Tigers in the seventh with a solo home run that started a three-run rally.
- Waldy Reyes delivered an RBI double in the sixth inning to tie the game at 5-5.
- Kaiser Quick closed the game in the ninth inning, recording the final outs and striking out one batter to secure the win.

Campbellsville threatened in the opening inning when
Anthony Esposito singled and
Thomas Krueger added another base hit to put two runners on base. However, Union escaped the jam with a strikeout to keep the Tigers off the board.
The Tigers broke through in the second inning. Back-to-back singles from
Kleysen Gabruck and
Tate Wischnack put two runners on before
Joaquin Hernandez laid down a sacrifice bunt to move them into scoring position. With two outs, Esposito delivered a clutch single to left field that brought both runners home, giving Campbellsville a 2-0 lead.
Union responded in the bottom half of the inning. A walk and sacrifice bunt set up an RBI single, followed by another run-scoring single to tie the game 2-2.
The Tigers regained the lead in the third inning.
Jaxson Grubbs reached base and advanced on a passed ball before Gabruck worked a walk. Both runners moved into scoring position on another passed ball, and Wischnack capitalized with a two-RBI single to left-center, pushing the Tigers ahead 4-2.
Union Commonwealth answered again in the bottom of the third when a double and later scored on a bunt single, trimming the Tigers' lead to 4-3.
Both teams were held scoreless in the fourth inning, as the pitchers settled in and the defenses made key plays to keep the score unchanged.
Union took its first lead of the game in the fifth inning. After an error and a walk placed two runners on base, a triple to right-center field delivered two runs and gave the Bulldogs a 5-4 advantage.
Campbellsville quickly tied the game in the sixth inning. Wischnack reached on a walk and advanced to third after a passed ball and an error.
Waldy Reyes then doubled to left-center to score Wischnack and tie the game 5-5.
The Tigers erupted for a pivotal three-run inning in the seventh inning.
Nick Hagen started the rally with a solo home run. Later in the inning, Krueger doubled and scored on a sacrifice fly by Gabruck. Wischnack then blasted a solo home run to extend Campbellsville's advantage to 8-5.
Campbellsville added another run in the eighth inning when Esposito doubled and later scored on Krueger's RBI double to center field, pushing the lead to 9-5.
Union Commonwealth attempted to rally in the bottom half of the inning with consecutive RBI doubles, cutting the deficit to 9-7.
However, Campbellsville's bullpen shut the door. After allowing a leadoff walk,
Kaiser Quick shut down the final rally attempt, recording a strikeout and two outs to secure the 9-7 win.
