CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. — Mid-South Conference officials announced Campbellsville's
Madison Kaiser was named the MSC Women's Basketball Player of the Week.
Kaiser, a senior guard from Greenville, Ind., averaged 15.5 points per game and shot 48 percent from the field in Campbellsville's two wins over Simmons College and West Virginia Tech last week.
Kaiser scored 15 points on 6-of-10 shooting in the Lady Tigers 127-33 win over Simmons. She backed that up with 16 points, two rebounds and two steals in CU's 84-68 come-from-behind win over the Golden Bears on Saturday.
After missing the first two games of the year due to a foot injury, Kaiser is averaging 12.7 points per game, 2.5 boards per game and hitting 42 percent from the floor. She's third in scoring this season and is second in 3-point shooting at 34 percent (22-of-65).
The MSC award is the first in Kaiser's career.
