The Tigers' cross country team faced struggles Saturday while close to home at the Greater Louisville Classic. With over 40 teams participating the Tigers managed to place 17th in a field packed with NCAA Division I schools such as the University of Kentucky and also having tough competition from unattached runners.
Geovanni Popoca showed why he is the leader for this Tiger squad, finishing 43rd with the time of 27:17.
Will Cox found his stride finishing not far behind Popoca with a 54th in 27:27. Coming in 86th was Qualaun Reed in the time of 27:57. Jonathon Pernell got in the top 100 with a 99th place finish in the time of 28:13. Armando Pina placed 138th running 29:14. Dashan Craft finished the race 154th in the time of 29:46. Wes Colvin Placed 184th running 31:00. James Linker finished 277 in the time of 31:39. And finishing 318th, Matt Oliver ran 35:13.
The Tigers are looking past this week and continuing to train hard to bring respect to this program and put Campbellsville on the map. They have this week off and look to get injured teammates

David Kays back on the trail. The Tigers next stop will be in South Carolina at the the South Carolina Upstate Inviteon Oct. 17.
