TALLAHASSEE, Fla.- Martin Batel and Aaron Smith took the road to the NAIA Cross Country Championship on Friday.

At the Mid-South Conference Tournament, Batel qualified for the championship, placing seventh, and Smith placed ninth. In the national championship, Batel placed 142nd with a time of 25:13.3 and Smith 201st with 26:39.4.

The University of the Cumberlands, Mid-South Conference Champions and number three in the final NAIA top 25 ratings, placed third as a team in the national championship with two runners in the top ten.

The Tigers will be back in action for the start of their indoor season, taking the road to Louisville, Kentucky, on Saturday, December 6th.
