Centre College didn't treat its guests very well.
The Colonels had five of the top 13 runners and easily won their own Invitational with 28 points.
Campbellsville finished fourth in the six-team field, just three points out of third place - held by fellow Mid-South competitor Georgetown. Lindsey Wilson ran, but with only four runners timed. Berea was second.
Popoca Geovanni, running in his first race of the season for CU, secured a sixth-place finish in the 5-mile time of 27:56.17. He was supported by
Qualaun Reed, 17th, 29:29.24;
Will Cox, 26th, 30:14.60;
Jonathan Pernell, 27th, 30:17.89; and
Wes Colvin, 31st, 30:41.92. Sixty-Two runners were timed.

Matt Oliver.
Tyler Nilsen, a junior college transfer, ran unattached while issues about his eligibility are cleared up, finished fourth overall in the time of 27:44.24.
"Tyler ran unattached and finished fourth overall, even though he got there late and didn't go over the course beforehand," said coach Scott Hortness. "With Tyler we would have finished third overall."
"It was a very demanding course. The hills were a bit overwhelming for many runners and it was good for us to experience that."
The Tigers travel to Cedarville, Ohio September 19th.
