Box Score The Campbellsville University Lady Tigers lost a close match to the University of the Cumberlands in its Mid-South Conference opener, 5-4

Another great performance by Anita Henestrosa, and her doubles partner Stacey Drew, gave the Lady Tigers a lead with a win at No. 1 doubles. Henestrosa, the MSC Player of the Week, also showed a dominating performance in singles as she defeated Donna Strong 6-0, 6-0.

Maria Gomez and Brittany Price also teamed up for a doubles win to give CU a 2-1 lead entering singles play.

"Winning the two doubles matches was big," said Caven.

Unfortunately the Lady Tigers could not keep up the pace as Cumberlands rallied in their singles matches.

The Lady Tigers will travel to Georgetown College on Monday.
