Box Score RIO GRANDE, Ohio - Campbellsville University men's basketball bounced back from a disappointing season opener loss to close out the Giovanni Tipoff Classic with a 113-59 victory over Ohio University-Chillicothe on Saturday.

"We took the loss last night and responded the way you'd want a team to respond with better energy and better effort," CU head coach Keith Adkins said. "We still have some things we can work on but it was a step in the right direction."
The Tigers jumped out to an early 13-3 lead and never looked back, steadily increasing the lead as the game went on. CU took a 58-35 lead into halftime and led by 50 points, 102-52, with five minutes to play.
Reggie Smith came off the bench for his first appearance of the season and led the Tigers with 25 points, while Justin Ennis had 21. Four other Tigers also scored in double figures: Kevin Bobson (14), Jordan Meyers (12), Cedric Henderson (11) and Melik Thomas (10). True freshman Darius Clement had seven assists in his first start at point guard for the Tigers.
Clay Roll led Ohio-Chillicothe with 24 points, followed by 12 from Tyler Manion.
Campbellsville (1-1) will return to action Saturday, Nov. 12 at Life University. Tipoff is 4 p.m. ET.
