Men's Cross Country

CU men's and women's cross country place third at Berea

BEREA, Ky. – Campbellsville University men's and women's cross country each finished third in their respective races Saturday at the Berea College Invitational, as five runners placed in the Top 15 individually.

Brett Pierce led the Tigers in their first 8K race of the season with a seventh-place finish and time of 27:05, while Dylan Ford was 10th in 27:38. Joey Hartlage was 16th in 28:04.

Mason Dunbar (29.20), Bradon Wisehart (30:15), Leighton Lavey (30:37) each recorded their first 8K time of their careers.

Tennessee Wesleyan won the meet with five runners in the Top 10, including third through fifth places. Lindsey Wilson College's John Paul Williamson won the race in a time of 26:12.

Sarah Johnson led the Lady Tigers with a sixth place finish in 21:10, followed right behind by Rebekah Southwood in 21:18. Mallory Vest also finished in the Top 15, placing 11th in a time of 21:42. Shelby Courtney 22:09
