Lady Tigers advnace to MSC final with win over Georgetown

Box Score

GEORGETOWN, Ky. – The 21st-ranked Campbellsville Lady Tigers did not let Georgetown's home court advantage intimidate them as they defeated the home team 5-2 in the Mid-South Conference Tournament semifinals.

CU advances to the MSC Championship match Saturday morning at 10 a.m. against rival Lindsey Wilson College. The match will be played at Georgetown College.

Campbellsville held a 2-1 advantage after doubles play, winning at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles after losing a 9-8 battle at No. 1 doubles. CU then entered singles play and won three of four matches, which were finished, to seal the win. Haley Dallas' win at No. 6 singles clinched the match.

"This women's team is so special and unique. We have been injured for much of the year but we are still coming through when it matters," said CU Coach Kyle Caven. "There were tough conditions today with all of the rain delays but the big crowd for Georgetown inspired us. We are looking forward to playing Lindsey Wilson tomorrow. This has been a good tournament so far, and we are excited to give our best effort to bring another championship back to Campbellsville."

The Lady Tigers will face rival Lindsey Wilson for the MSC championship at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 26, in Georgetown, Ky.
