Lady Tigers fall in MSC final to No. 3 Lindsey Wilson

Box Score

GEORGETOWN, Ky. – The third-ranked Blue Raiders of Lindsey Wilson College ended the Lady Tigers championship run Saturday beating Campbellsville 5-0 in the Mid-South Conference final at Georgetown College's Lackey Tenns Center.

"It was great to make another final but unfortunately we came out flat. Our energy was low, and we didn't take advantage of the situation. We got a little momentum in singles but it was too late, and they closed us out," said Coach Kyle Caven.

CU, ranked No. 21 in the NAIA, will hold out hope for an at-large bid to the NAIA tournament, but will first meet Mississippi College in the Mid-East Region championship game for the National Christian College Athletic Association. The date, time and location are still to be determined.

"We are playing an NCCAA qualifier early this week so it's a short recovery then back at it," said Caven. "We are looking forward to the opportunity to play into the postseason, and we still have a good shot at making the NAIA National Tournament as well."
