Box Score 1 CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. — Campbellsville women's tennis added two more 9-0 wins today for its third sweep in two days. After defeating St. Catharine College yesterday, the Lady Tigers swept their competition today for two more victories over Asbury University and Shawnee State University.
In the day's non-conference matchup against Asbury University, CU did not meet very much adversity as it cruised to a 9-0 win.
Anna Tumanyan, ranked 13th in the ITA East Region national rankings, easily won her match against freshman Caitlin Conyers of Asbury in two games, 6-1 and 6-0. Playing in the No. 2 spot, 19th-ranked Megan Charity also made easy work of her win over AU's Alex LoPrinzi with scores of 6-2 and 6-2.
In the second match of day the Lady Tigers did not let up, crushing MSC opponent Shawnee State 9-0 for the third straight sweep in as many matches.
Neither the doubles team of Tumanyan/Haley Dallas or M. Charity/Jenna Sallee gave up a single point in their matches, both finishing with matching scores of 8-0 and 8-0.
Haley Dallas, playing in CU's No. 5 singles spot, won her match against Shawnee's Mara McGee 6-1 and 6-0. Tumanyan, M. Charity, Sallee, and Lindy Charity all held their singles opponents scoreless.
With the three-win weekend, Campbellsville gets back above .500, improving to 6-5 overall and 2-1 in MSC play.
