BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Lady Tiger season ends after an early exit in the Mid-South Conference tennis tournament after University of the Cumberlands defeated CU, 5-2.

Cumberlands will meet No. 3 Lindsey Wilson in the first semifinal match tomorrow at 2 p.m. ET at Kereiakes Park. The second semifinal match will feature the winners of Cumberland University/St. Catharine College and Georgetown College/University of Pikeville, and is set for a 4:30 p.m. ET start.

Campbellsville's season ends at 6-11 overall with its only victories coming from Bolor Enkhbayar and Grace-Laura Rowe in No. 1 doubles and Majella Nobile in No. 2 singles.

Enkhbayar and Grace-Laura Rowe pulled off the biggest Campbellsville victory of the day in the No. 1 spot. The pair went to tiebreak after a grueling 9-8 set, defeating Isabella Dale and Marie Bozeman with an 11-9 tiebreak.

Enkhbayar couldn't make lightning strike twice against No. 7 Dale, and was defeated 6-1, 6-0 in the top singles match. Nobile recorded CU's only win in singles, defeating Williams 6-2, 6-2.

Letheby (6-1, 6-3) and Boik (6-3, 6-1) fell victim to the Patriots in the No. 4 and 5 spots.

In doubles, the duo of Nobile and Jade Letheby were defeated 8-5 by Chanel Williams and Sydni Grimes in the No. 2 match. Elizabeth Boik and Sara Coffman met the same fate against Kaylyn Collette and Hannah Wampler, losing in an identical score.

With those two wins, Cumberlands had enough points for the victory. All tournament matches are stopped after a team has earned five points, signifying a match win.
