Beasley scores first-ever Tiger point at NAIA track and field

MARION, Ind. -  Tiosha Beasley became the first Campbellsville University track and field athlete to score a point in a national meet, finishing eighth at the NAIA.

"I'm very happy for Tiosha," said CU Track Coach Joe Stockton. "She started the day ranked 19th in the country and finished eighth today."

Beasley, a sophomore from Bowling Green, jumped 11.20 meters, slightly off her personal best of 11.32, but good enough to move up 11 spots in the national rankings.

Miranda Meeks finished 10th and 14th for CU in the 2007 and 2008 steeplechase, respectively. In 2007 Sarah Branch finished 26th in the marathon for CU.
