Young jumps A Standard, Barr sets school record at Blue Raider Rumble

COLUMBIA, Ky. – On Saturday, the Campbellsville University Track & Field teams made a statement at the Lindsey Wilson College Blue Raider Rumble. David Young soared to victory in the triple jump with a 15.20m leap, hitting the NAIA "A" standard and punching his ticket to nationals. Kayla Barr dominated the field events, smashing her own school record in the hammer throw with a massive 46.87m toss.

In the field events, David Young led the jumps with a first-place finish in the men's triple jump (15.20m) and achieved the NAIA "A" standard qualifying mark for nationals. Neo Khanye placed second in the same event with a leap of 13.89m.

Marcus Bell secured second place in both the shot put (14.64m) and discus (40.77m), and Joel Roberts placed fourth in the hammer (40.79m) and discus (40.41m). Connor Crabtree contributed, finishing fourth in the javelin (27.88m) and sixth in the high jump (1.75m).

Nathan Sury led the middle-distance runners, earning second-place finishes in both the 1,500-meter run (4:08.21) and 800-meter run (2:00.23). Martin Batel contributed a third-place finish in the 1,500 meters (4:08.78), while Samuel Larson placed fourth (4:12.98) and Aaron Smith finished eighth (4:24.53).

In the sprint events, Chris Thomas captured first in the 400-meter dash with a time of 50.40. Isaiah Johnson placed fourth in the 100 meters (10.94) and seventh in the 200 meters (23.02), while Isiah Bain and Neo Khanye added depth in both sprint events.

Mouhamed Pouye dominated the 110-meter hurdles with a first-place finish (14.77), and Connor Crabtree added third in the same event (22.47).

The 4x400-meter relay squad of Thomas, Matthias Brice, Bain, and Pouye captured first place with a 3:20.37.  

The women's field events were anchored by Kayla Barr, who broke her own school record set at the SEU Fire Invitational, throwing 46.87m in the hammer and 38.17m in the discus to claim first in both events, and she added second in the shot put (11.09m).

Madison Farmer offered a strong effort with second-place discus (36.77m) and third-place shot put (10.90m).

In the jumps, Dasia Garland secured second in the triple jump (10.99m), while Kariana Harrigan placed fifth in the long jump (5.11m).

The women's track team was led by Makiyah Allen  across multiple events, capturing second in the 100-meter hurdles (14.70) and 200-meter dash (26.29), along with a fifth-place finish in the 100-meter dash (12.51).

Elizabeth Kamara and Alexzandria Rivers added depth in the sprints, placing eighth (13.05) and 15th (28.19) in the 100 and 200 meters, respectively.

In middle-distance events, Emma Madding finished sixth in the 1,500 meters (5:21.05), while Rebecca Stringer placed seventh (5:25.99). Brianna Collins and Karly Spalding finished seventh (2:32.63) and eighth (2:33.34) in the 800 meters.
The women's 4x100-meter relay team captured third place with a 51.43.
