DANVILLE, Ky. – In its last dual meet of the regular season, Tiger swimming was defeated on Saturday by the Centre College Colonels, 154-44.
Senior
Chris Telman and freshman Issac Lewis paved the way today, each collecting four Top 3 finishes. Breaking the school record set by
Daniel Fathergill in the 2015-16 season,
Tucker Hardin completed the 1000-yard freestyle race in a time of 11:52.97 for third place.
Telman swam the 200-yard freestyle in 1:57.48 for third place and the 100-yard freestyle in 52:57 for second place. Lewis finished the 200-yard IM in second place with a time of 2:11.56 and the 500-yard freestyle in third place with a time of 5:36.22.
Together, Telman and Lewis united with their teammates in two relays for second-place finishes. In the 200-yard freestyle relay
Tucker Hardin and
RJ Harris helped complete the length in 1:36.09. With them in the 200-yard medley relay were
Tanguy Claisse and
Seth Jones who helped to finish the race in 1:47.72.
RJ Harris,
Eduardo Doilin,
Alex Meade, and
Tucker Hardin finished the 200-yard medley relay close behind in third place with a time of 1:55.07.
Rounding out the Top 3 finishers for the Tigers, Jones raced the 100-yard breaststroke in a time of 1:07.17 for second place and Harris finished the 50-yard freestyle in 24.25 for third place.
This completes the regular season for Tiger Swimming. Campbellsville will now wind down preparations for the Mid-South Conference Championship in Kingsport, Tenn. Feb. 1-4.
