CARRIE MILLS, Ill. – The Campbellsville archery squad completed the USCA National 3D Archery Championships this past weekend.
The Tigers had three teams finish in the top five, while five individuals finished inside the top 10 of their respective events.
In team competition,
Justin Nelson and
Haley Hatfield finished third overall in the Mixed Recurve competition with a score of 91. Nelson and Hatfield garnered Campbellsville's only medal of the competition.
Kristyn Duncan and
Conner Campbell compiled 180 points in the finals and posted a fourth-place finish in the Mixed Bowhunter, while the duo of
Joshua Bratcher and
Christina French were fifth overall in the Mixed Basic Bow with a score of 112.
The team of Duncan,
Ariel Emberton and
Madison Myatt finished sixth in the Women's Team Bowhunter after scoring 236 points.
Haoran Bo,
Michael Nash and
Isaiah Caldwell competed in the Men's Compound and they finished in eighth place to round out team competition after racking up 225 points in the quarterfinals.
French and Nelson highlighted the individual competitions with sixth-place finishes in the Women's Basic Bow and Men's Recurve, respectively.
Rounding top-10 finishes in individual competition was Duncan, who finished seventh in the Women's Bowhunter, Bratcher – eighth in the Men's Basic Bow – and Hatfield, who brought home a ninth-place finish in the Women's Recurve.
Capping off the Women's Bowhunter was Emberton in 21st and Myatt in 35th.
Haley Arnett joined French in the Women's Basic Bow and finished 14th overall.
Daniel Wilson made his lone appearance at the championships in competing in the Men's Basic Bow, where he came in 12th place.
Campbellsville also had individuals competing in the Men's Compound and Men's Bowhunter to round out the championships. Caldwell (24th), Nash (32nd) and Bo (35th) competed in the Compound, while Campbell (33rd) and
Wade Meredith (42nd) took part in the Bowhunter.
The Tigers capped off the 3D portion of their season and they return to competition in January for their indoor season.
