LANSING, Mich. – The Campbellsville University archery team wrapped up its season this past weekend at the USA Archery Collegiate Target Nationals.
Competing in the official team round of the Barebow College Women were
Zoey Hudson,
Madaline Teipen, and
Megan Wallace. The trio of Tigers ran the table and came away with gold. Campbellsville qualified seventh with a score of 1,261. In the 1/8th round, they defeated William Carey University, 6-2. Moving into the quarterfinals, the Tigers defeated second-seeded University of the Cumberlands, 5-4. In the semifinals, Campbellsville conquered third-seeded Muskingum, 5-4. In the title match against Lindsey Wilson, CU picked up two late points and defeated Lindsey Wilson, 5-4.
Campbellsville, as a team, finished 13th nationally out of 50 schools. Maddie Teipen and
Zoey Hudson finished on the Academic All-American team.
The Tigers had multiple archers ranked as the all-around archers of the year.
In the fixed pens, women:
Sidra Brown finished 25th, and Hailey Curtsinger ended 35th.
On the men's side,
Christopher Wagoner finished 32nd,
Tanner Edmonds ended in 35th,
Tristan Griggs was 36th, and Ryan Wolfe finished 37th.
The Tigers had seven archers in the Barebow. For the women,
Madaline Teipen led the way in 11th,
Zoey Hudson was right behind her in 12th,
Megan Wallace slotted 20th, and
Tasia Rivera was 21st.
Hunter Berry and
Kingston Utley led on the men's side in 18th, with
Ashton Chase Smith in 22nd.
Ashley Thomas and
Whitley Eastridge ranked 23rd and 25th in women's recurve. Alex Kingsbury was 27th in men's.
Carson Swanger was the lone compound ranked in 32nd.
