MADISONVILLE, Ky. – The Campbellsville University archery team competed at the Mid-South Conference Indoor Championships this weekend, earning podium finishes while facing a strong field of conference opponents.
- The Fixed Pins Men's Team of Trenton Napier, Lance Powell, and Chandler Wagoner secured a podium finish. As did Alex Kingsbury and Ashley Thomas as they finished third in Mixed Recurve
- The Barebow Women's Team of Zoey Hudson, Madaline Teipen, and Megan Wallace earned bronze.
- Hudson placed fourth in Barebow Women, just missing the podium. Several Tigers were in the top 10-20 in Recurve, Compound, Barebow, and Fixed Pins.
- The Tigers return to action January 30-February 1 for the USA Archery Collegiate National Indoor Tournament in Owensboro, Kentucky.
In team rounds, Campbellsville earned three podiums: Fixed Pins (Napier, Powell, Wagoner) took bronze behind Cumberlands and Pikeville, the women's Barebow team (Hudson, Teipen, Wallace) also won bronze, and, in mixed teams action, Alex Kingsbury and
Ashley Thomas finished third in Mixed Recurve.
During ranking rounds, Campbellsville had several standout performances. In Recurve Men, Alex Kingsbury led with ninth place (404). For Recurve Women,
Ashley Thomas placed 14th (460), followed by
Whitley Eastridge (17th) and
Leah Ressor (18th).
In the Compound,
Dawson Brown finished 14th overall with a score of 540. In Barebow, led by Chase Smith, who placed 10th, followed by
Hunter Berry in 11th,
Ashton Moss in 12th, and
Kingston Utley in 13th.
Campbellsville's top performers were in women's Barebow, where
Zoey Hudson placed fourth overall with a score of 457, narrowly missing the podium.
Madaline Teipen followed in sixth, while
Megan Wallace added a 15th-place finish.
In Fixed Pins, Campbellsville had several top-20 finishes. Trenton Napier led in ninth (585),
Lance Powell was 12th, with
Christopher Wagoner,
Tristan Griggs, Ryan Wolfe, and
Tanner Edmonds rounding out the team. In Fixed Pins Women,
Rebecca Couture led with 16th, followed by
Sidra Brown and
Haley Curtsinger.
Chase Smith and
Zoey Hudson added a fourth-place finish in Mixed Barebow, narrowly missing the podium in their event.
