Tiger archery competes at 3D Nationals; Women's Barebow collects bronze medal

FOLEY, Ala.- The Campbellsville University archery team competed at the 2025 USA Archery Collegiate 3D Nationals this past weekend, earning a bronze in the Barebow College Women's Team Round. The Tigers also competed across multiple divisions, including recurve, compound, barebow, and fixed pins, and finished 11th overall in the team standings.

Leading the way for Campbellsville was Sidra Brown, who placed 14th in the Fixed-Pin College Women's division with a combined score of 386. In Barebow College Women, Madaline Teipen finished 17th with a score of 299. In the Recurve College Women, Leah Ressor and Ashley Thomas tied for 29th and 30th with 321 points each, while Whitley Eastridge followed closely in 32nd with 306, showing strong consistency across the group.

On the men's side, Lance Powell led in the Compound College Men, placing 40th with a total of 406. Trenton Napier followed him in 46th with 394, and Dawson Brown in 60th with 321. In the Recurve College Men, Alex Kingsbury placed 30th with 318. In Barebow College Men, Kingston Utley and Hunter Berry both shot 247 to place 28th and 29th, while Ashton Chase Smith added a 33rd-place finish with 225. In Fixed-Pin College Men, Christopher Wagoner scored 368 to take 53rd, followed by Tanner Edmonds in 59th with 356 and Tristan Griggs in 67th with 344.

The highlight of the weekend came from the Barebow College Women's Team, which brought home a bronze podium finish with a total score of 835. Teipen led the trio with 299, followed by Zoie Hudson with 273 and Madison Wallace with 263. Other top team finishes included the Recurve College Women in sixth place with 948 from Ressor, Thomas, and Eastridge; the Compound College Men in ninth with 1121 from Powell, Napier, and Brown; the Barebow College Men in seventh with 719 from Utley, Berry, and Smith; the Fixed-Pin College Women in 12th with 949 from Brown, Couture, and Curtsinger; and the Fixed-Pin College Men in 15th with 1068 from Wagoner, Edmonds, and Griggs.

In the Mixed Team Rounds, Kingsbury and Ressor placed 11th in Recurve Mixed with 639, Powell and Swanger placed 14th in Compound Mixed with 782, Utley and Teipen finished 11th in Barebow Mixed with 546, and Wagoner and Brown took 13th in Fixed Pins Mixed with 754. In the Mixed Equipment Round, Powell, Brown, and Ressor finished 16th with a total score of 1113.

The archery team will return to action after Christmas at the beginning of next year, in January, for the MSC Indoor Tournament Championship in Madisonville, Kentucky.
