LOUISVILLE, Ky. — In an exhibition match on Friday night vs. Bellarmine, Lady Tiger tennis fell 7-2.
Campbellsville got down 3-0 after doubles but was able to steal a pair of singles matches and two team points.
Majella Nobile took down Sydney Thompson in a tie break, 3-6, 6-1, 10-2. In addition,
Kaede Amano defeated Maggie Walroth 7-5, 6-2.
Bolor Enkhbayar had a chance to steal a win from Jennifer Skonieczny at No. 2 singles but Skonieczny pulled out a pair of close sets, 7-5, 7-6.
In Nos. 4-6 singles, Grace Rowe lost to Marissa Kovach (6-2, 6-0),
Kyleigh Murray fell (6-1, 6-3) to Marin Cotter and
Toni Pfeiffer lost to Bess Fley (6-2, 6-0).
In doubles, the top CU duo of Amano and Enkhbayer was unable to stay with Bellarmine's Walroth and Jonathan, falling 8-2.
No. 2 doubles finished with the closes score, as Nobile and Rowe lost 8-6 to Skonieczny and Thompson. In No. 3 doubles, Murray teamed up with
Elizabeth Boik to fall 8-4 to BU's Kovach and Cotter.
Campbellsville will host Brescia on Saturday, Feb. 25 at the Kelly Hall Tennis Complex starting at 2 p.m. ET.
