Six Track & Field student-athletes earn Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Three Tigers and three Lady Tigers garnered Daktronics-NAIA Track & Field Scholar-Athlete honors, the national office announced on Friday.

In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have attended the institution for two full years as a non-transfer or one full year as a transfer.

On the women's side, Deja Thompson, Abby Wicke and Julianna Bradley each earned the national award, while Ross Allen, Bret Crawford and Corbin Harris represented the Campbellsville men on the national list.

This marks the second-straight season that Thompson and Wicke garnered scholar-athlete recognitions. Allen earned the award for the third-straight season, while Bradley, Harris and Crawford earn the honor for the first time in their track & field careers.

In total, 427 women's track & field student-athletes earned the award and 305 men's track & field student-athletes garnered the award throughout the NAIA.

Campbellsville wraps up its season on Saturday afternoon on the final day of the NAIA Outdoor Track & Field National Championships.
