CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – In the midst of a three-week layoff from racing, the Tigers remained in the receiving votes category of the second NAIA Cross-Country Coaches' Top 25 Poll.
The poll, released Wednesday morning, gave the Tiger harriers eight voting points as they are the 34th team overall in the poll. As Campbellsville has not raced since the release of the last poll, the Tigers lost four-points, but their ranking remained unchanged.
Through two meets,
Sam Kiser and
Jacob Hamilton has led the Tigers to two top three meet finishes. Kiser has been able to record an overall 8,000-meter time of 26:55, while Hamilton followed with a 27:20. Three more Tigers were able to group up and finish around the 28-minute mark.
Campbellsville also remains as the second Mid-South Conference team in the poll, following the 11
thranked Shawnee State, who received 402 total points.
Overall in the poll, Oklahoma City still sits atop the rankings, receiving 580 points and 15 first place votes.
The Tigers will return to action on Saturday, October 5
th, with hopes to finish well at the highly competitive Greater Louisville Classic.
