WILLIAMSBURG, KY. –
Julianna Bradley made history this afternoon as she led the Lady Tigers with her finish in the 5,000m racewalk as the team finishes in fourth place at the Mid South Conference Championships.
Bradley pulled off winning the event on all four years of her tenure here at Campbellsville this morning. She won the event with a time of 30:31.10. She was close to two minutes ahead of teammate and runner-up
Elise Shainfeld as she came in at 32:24.40.
Jennifer Maxwell was able to round out the group with her fourth place finish at 47:40.17 and finished off scoring 23 total points in the event to start the day.
The team picked up early points after the racewalk in the women's 4x100m relay.
Keniya Smith,
Tamia Smith,
Savannah Gregory, and
Maliyah Taylor were able to finish in fourth place overall with a time of 49.27. Coming off her victory in the javelin yesterday,
Madison Kaiser added to her point total in the 100m hurdles with a fifth place finish. She crossed the line in 17.16 to earn the team four points.
Savannah Gregory was able to run her way towards a bronze medal this afternoon in the 400m dash. Her time of 57.30 was the only thing keeping Lindsey Wilson from sweeping the top three spots in the event. She was able to secure her way to Gulf Shores later on in May as she hit an NAIA B standard with her time this afternoon. She was able to earn her final individual points in the 200m dash with a sixth place time of 26.27.
Michaela Sebastian finished off the two day event of the heptathlon as she won the bronze medal in the event. She earned 2684 points overall after seven events. She didn't stop with her seven events, she scored points in the 400m hurdles this afternoon as she placed sixth overall with a time of 1:13.30.
Ricquel Williams was able to get things going for points in the field events this afternoon with her performance in the shot put. Her distance of 12.50m was good enough for fifth place in the event.
Madison Kaiser joined Williams in field event points for the throws with her seventh place finish in the discus throw. Her best toss on the day came in the prelim flights of 33.90m and secured the position by .04m.
In the jumps,
Haley Payton earned the bronze medal on the afternoon in the triple jump. Her jump of 10.94m came on her first attempt in the afternoon. Teychaina Dornan joined Payton in the event as she was battling a hip injury and placed fifth overall with her mark of 10.61.
Courtney Gray rounded out the scoring for the group in jumps in the women's high jump. She placed sixth with a height of 1.49m.
The final points came in the final two events on the day.
Miranda Rzendzian placed eighth overall in the 5,000m run with a time of 20:04.58. In the 4x400m relay,
Taylor Cox, Gabrielle Velez,
Savannah Gregory, and
Maggie Parrish were able to earn five more points by placing fourth overall in the event with a time of 4:16.09.
The team will now have two weeks off to prepare for the NCCAA Championships held on May 8-10.
