Kiser leads the way, freshman Shawn Little turns heads at Greater Louisville Classic

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — With four freshmen running in their first 8k, and senior Sam Kiser leading the charge, Campbellsville men's cross country finished seventh at the Greater Louisville Cross Country Classic. 
 
Kiser, a 2019 NAIA qualifier, recorded the 10th-best time in CU men's history by running his 8k in 26:10.20 placing 34th overall. Kiser's career-best is fourth all-time - 25:30.5 – which he set last season. 
 
Freshman Shawn Little shined on Saturday as he recorded the third-best time as a collegiate rookie. Little finished 36th overall with a time of 26:19. 
 
Campbellsville had seven other athletes in the race:

The Tigers will now compete in the Fast Cats Classic on Friday, Oct. 9 at Brescia University in Owensboro, Ky.
