Scurt and Hill go perfect 3-0 in doubles at MSC Women's Tennis Fall Open

OWNEBSORO, Ky. — The Mid-South Conference Women's Tennis Fall Open Championship featured different scoring and Campbellsville was led by Rebeca Scurt and Madison Hill with a perfect 3-0 record in doubles. 
 
The No. 2 duo for CU went 3-0 overall in doubles over the weekend while Scurt was 2-1 at No. 3 singles and Hill went 2-0 at No. 6 singles. The 3-0 record at No. 2 doubles led all Mid-South Conference teams. 
 
Scurt and Hill started their tournament with a 7-5 doubles win over Johanna Beckman and Karen Contreras of University of the Cumberlands. Scurt then beat Beckman in three sets that went down at the longest match of the weekend, winning (4-6, 6-2, 7-6 (13-11)). 
 
Against Shawnee State, the No. 2 doubles duo beat Grace Eberhard and Lacey Urban of Shawnee State in straight sets, 6-0. In singles against the Bears, Scurt won over Claire Carruthers, 6-3, 6-4 and Hill beat Elizabeth Scott, 6-1, 6-0. 
 
On Saturday, the Lady Tigers faced Lindsey Wilson College. Scurt and Hill won in a tiebreak, 7-6 (7-5), over Parisa Rachdanone and Salmoe Sposetti. In singles, Hill capped her weekend with a 6-2, 6-1 win over Carla Alibert. 

Hill also finished as the top singles player at No. 6 singles, while Blaeke Mitchell won the No. 5 singles flight with a perfect 2-0 record.
