BROOKINGS, SD – Haley Payton, Teychiana Dornan, and Jasmin Green all represented Lady Tiger track and field at the NAIA Championships over the weekend in their respective field events.
 
Payton, competing in her second indoor championships was able to earn the qualification mark in both the long jump and triple jump.
 
In the long, Payton was able to mark a 4.41-meter jump to place 29^th in the event. On Saturday, Payton followed the performance to go on and jump a 10.57-meter jump for 33^rd in the triple jump.
 
Dornan followed directly behind Payton with a jump of 10.24 meters for 34^th. 
 
Like, Dornan, Green was also participating in her first NAIA Indoor Championships after her stellar indoor season allowed her to hit the standard mark in the weight throw. 
 
After fouling her first two attempts, Green was finally able to get a mark on her third throw for 15.76 meters. This was enough for a 20^th place finish for the Lady Tiger.
 
This trio and the remainder of the Lady Tiger track and field squad will now focus their attention outdoor as they will open up the outdoor season on March 20^th at Transylvania University for the Pioneer Invite.
