BOWLING GREEN, KY – Lady Tigers able to finish with a 1-1 record at the Mid-South Conference Fall Invitational over the weekend.
They were able to start their invitational out with a victory over Shawnee State. Campbellsville pulled out the brooms in doubles play.
Angela Mendoza and
Oriana Espinoza Mendoza were able to bring in the first victory at (6-1).
Madison Hill and
Addison Sutton won their match in (6-1) as well. The final pairing of
Blaeke Mitchell and
Emily Hibbs won their match in (7-5).
In singles play, Campbellsville kept the overall match perfect. They were able to sweep the Bears in singles play. Angela won her match in (6-0, 6-1), Oriana got the victory in her match at (6-0, 6-2).
Hill won her match (6-0, 6-0) and doubles partner Sutton won (6-2, 6-2). The final pairing of Mitchell was able to bring in her singles play victory with a (6-2, 6-0) score. Emma Calfe brought in the final victory for the team in the match with her score of (6-0, 6-1).
Lady Tigers would go on to face Lindsey Wilson in the next round. The team was unable to pull the victory against the Blue Raiders falling 5-2. Oriana Espinoza was able to bring in a singles victory with her win of (6-2, 4-6, 10-7). Sutton was the only other athlete to pull out a win against Lindsey in singles play with her score of (7-5, 6-1).
