Kiser moves up on 8K top 10 list while the Tigers place 17th at the NAIA Great Lakes Invitational

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Tigers had huge performances from upperclassmen at the NAIA Great Lakes Invitational this morning.
 
Sam Kiser led the Tigers this week with a new lifetime best. Kiser passes alumnus Brett Pierce on the 8K Top 10 list to move to third all-time with his time of 25:21.60. Overall in the race Kiser placed 35th
 
Campbellsville did not see their second man come in for another 49 seconds. Shawn Little ran a 26:10.80 while fifth year senior Jacob Hamilton had a massive performance and season best 26:27.50. Recovering from sickness, Dakota Brady was able to return to form coming in at the four spot on the team with a time of 26:31.70.
 
Rounding out the top five for the Tigers was Collin Sheffield. Sheffield ran a new PR of 26:38.50. The Tigers 1-5 spread on the day was at 1:17 with their 2-5 being within 28 seconds of each other. 
 
Jarrett Crawford came close to dipping under the 27-minute mark at 27:04.70. Lukas Smithson who was Campbellsville's top man at the Greater Louisville Classic came in as the seventh man today with his time of 27:22.70. 
 
Samuel Bennett and Aiden Tucker were the final Tigers in the race. Bennett was just one second off being the seventh man with his time of 27:23.40 while Tucker finished at 28:17.70.
 
Campbellsville was still able to put together the fourth fastest time in program history at 26:14 while placing 17th overall.
 
Shawnee State finished seventh overall in the meet with their average time of 25:36. The Bears put four runners in front of Campbellsville's second man and five in front of their third. Lindsey Wilson was able to edge out the Tigers placing 15th in the race with their team average time of 26:13. 
 
The Tigers had other runners compete in a seperate race this morning. Alex Steen was able to run a 28:50.50 and Ian McAninch was close behind him at 28:53.20. Ben Graf ran a 31:29.70, Mack Mullenhour ran a lifetime best of 31:48.60, and rounding out the group was Andrew Evans who ran a time of 32:28.60. 

Campbellsville will now have two weeks to prepare for the post season charge. They take on the Mid-South Conference Championships on Friday November 5th. That meet will be held in Bowling Green, KY. at Phil Moore Park.
