CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – After a week away from match action, the Campbellsville University men's volleyball team will host just their second and third home matches of the 2021 season when Lincoln College and Goshen College this Saturday.
All three teams will compete in two matches on the day as the Tigers will face the Lynx at 11 a.m. ET and the Maple Leafs at 4 p.m. ET at Gosser Gymnasium with Lincoln and Goshen facing each other at 1:30 p.m. ET for a neutral court match.

TIGER NOTES
- This will be the first matches for Campbellsville since they captured their second-straight NCCAA Invitational Tournament Championships on Jan. 23.
- With their performance in that tournament, Rafael Cruz, Jeremy Hernandez, and Jay Montalvo all earned the Mid-South Conference Attacker, Setter, and Defender of the Week on Jan. 25, the second MSC weekly honors for Hernandez and Montalvo.
- In the first in-season NAIA Coaches' Poll of 2021, the Tigers moved from No. 2 to No. 4 after suffering losses to Indiana Tech and Lewis University that also moved the Warriors of IIT to No. 10.
- CU has had a well-balanced attack through seven matches as 10 different players have double digit kills so far led by the 67 from Cruz.
SCOUTING LINCOLN
- The Lynx are 1-4 on the season so far with their lone win coming at home against University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy in St. Louis on Jan. 23.
- They are most recently coming off of a pair of sweep losses to St. Xavier and Cardinal Stritch as they will face Midway University Friday night before competing in their two matches in Campbellsville.
- Lincoln has only played nine players in their five matches this season with none competing in all five matches as Jay Vazquez (25), Jamere Jackson (21), and Brandon Carriger (20) the top three attackers on the team.
SCOUTING GOSHEN
- GC and CU have met one time already this season as the Tigers were able to pull off a comeback from down 2-0 to win the match 3-2 back on Jan. 8.
- Since then, Goshen has gone 3-0 with wins against Trinity Christian, Cornerstone, and Aquinas while only losing a single set in those matches.
- Goshen has moved to No. 13 in the NAIA poll coming off of those wins and they will face Lourdes University on Friday before coming to Campbellsville for their two matches.
- Alexander Rabadzhiev and Lucas Sauder are the standouts offensively for the Maple Leafs as the pair has combined for 102 of the team's 163 total kills this season.
LOOKING AHEAD
- Campbellsville will get their Mid-South Conference regular season started next week when they face Cumberland University on the road and Thomas More at home with a home non-conference match against Carlow University scheduled in between.
