CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – It was a good weekend for the Campbellsville University women's tennis team earned a pair of duals wins against Shawnee State University and University of Pikeville.
Saturday afternoon, CU earned a 6-1 at Shawnee State then went to Pikeville for a 7-0 sweep win over UPike. Combined in doubles play, the Lady Tigers only lost one match as
Brenda Aguilar and
Madison Hill went undefeated,
Itzel Hernandez and
Angela Mendoza won their match against SSU and defaulted to a win at Pikeville, and
Rebeca Scurt and
Emily Carbo split their matches with a win over Pikeville and a loss against Shawnee State.
In singles play, Campbellsville only dropped one match over the 12 different singles matches with Aguilar, Hill, Mendoza, Carbo, Scurt and
Blaeke Mitchell all winning their matches they played in.
The Lady Tigers will compete next at home this Wednesday when they host Brescia University at Kelly Hall Tennis Complex for a 2 p.m. dual match.
