BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – As the No. 20 Campbellsville University women's tennis team closes in on the start of the postseason, Brenda Aguilar earned the Mid-South Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week honor, MSC officials announced Monday afternoon.

Aguilar is a graduate eligible senior for the Lady Tigers as she earned a win in all three of her singles and doubles matches last week against Georgetown, Bethel, and Freed-Hardeman, helping CU earn three team wins by scores of 6-1, 6-1, and 7-0 respectively.

Playing exclusively out of the No. 2 singles spot, Aguilar earned a 6-1, 6-4 win over Georgetown's Samantha Spady, a 6-1, 7-5 win over Bethel's Anabella Baralt, and a 6-0, 6-2 win over Freed-Hardeman's Juliana Alvez to earn a team point for each of those matches.

Partnering with Madison Hill for all three duals, Aguilar and Hill won all three of their doubles matches playing No. 2 for the Georgetown and Bethel duals then bumping up to No. 1 against Freed-Hardeman. Hill and Aguilar won those matches 6-0, 6-1, and 6-4 against the Tigers, Wildcats, and Lions respectively.

The Lady Tigers will be back on the court this weekend for the start of the Mid-South Conference Championships as they will get started on Friday as they finished the regular season at the No. 3 seed in the MSC.
