CAMPBELLSVILLE, KY – Campbellsville made easy work over rival Georgetown Monday afternoon with a 6-1 win.
Brenda Aguilar and
Madison Hill cruised through their doubles match (6-0) while their teammates
Rebeca Scurt and
Angela Mendoza in the three spot were able to bring in another (6-0).
Scurt and Aguilar were the first two matches to finish their singles play to give Campbellsville the outright lead in the match. Scurt won her match (6-2, 6-1) while Aguilar won her match (6-1, 6-4).
After falling in doubles
Blaeke Mitchell was able to bring in a singles win with a (6-2, 7-5) victory.
Campbellsville saw two matches in singles play go to three sets. Mendoza was able to win her match after falling in the first set to come back with a (3-6, 6-3, 10-7) victory. Hill was able to avenge a second set loss in her third set (6-3, 3-6, 6-2).
The Lady Tigers will travel to Tennessee to face off against Bethel University on April 9
th and Freed-Hardeman on April 10
th to finish off the regular season.
