BOWLING GREEN, KY – Tigers were able to finish out the Mid-South Conference Fall Invitational over the weekend.
Against Cumberland University, Campbellsville narrowly missed the win falling (4-3). In doubles play,
Angela Mendoza and
Miru Nonaka were the only pair to win their match at (6-1).
Mendoza and Nonaka were able to both bring in wins during their singles matches. Mendoza made light work of her opponent in a (6-2, 6-2) win and Nonaka won in (6-3, 6-4). Rookie
Clara Asprella was in the six spot for the Tigers in the match and won (6-2, 6-4).
Campbellsville swept Georgetown College (7-0).
Candela Converti and Asprella were the first to win their doubles matchup in (6-4). Mendoza and Nonaka were behind them on court one with a (6-2) victory.
Blaeke Mitchell and
Emma Calfee did not conceive a point in their doubles play match with the (6-0) win.
All of Campbellsville's singles play matchups did not go further than two sets and no one conceived more than one game in their match.
Ariadna Perez won in (6-0, 6-1,), Mendoza won (6-1, 6-0), Nonaka was (6-1, 6-0), Mitchell was victorious with a (6-0, 6-0) sweep, Conventi pulled her win in (6-1, 6-0) and Asprella had a sweep of her own in (6-0, 6-0).
