Men's Barebow win national title, Tigers place seventh at 3D National Championship over the weekend

FOLEY, ALA. – The Tigers are returning home as national champions from fall break when they defeated Texas A&M in the men's barebow college championship.
 
In the pairings, Campbellsville had Collin Harris, Francisco Cocar Montenegro, and Braden Thompson. The team trailed after round one with a score of 18 while the Aggies shot 25. In round two the trio bounced back with a 23-18 victory. In the final round, Campbellsville opened the gap even larger with a 28-20 win.
 
In the barebow mixed competition, McKenzie McGee and Braden Thompson placed seventh overall with a score of 591. In the mixed pin competition the Tigers came out with a 19th place finish overall with Hannah Williamson and Wade Cecil in the pairing. They finished with a score of 644.
 
In the overall Collegiate 3D Championships, Campbellsville finished in a tie for 10th place overall out of 28 teams. 
 
The Mid-South Conference dominated the top of the standings. University of the Cumberlands won the overall event, Lindsey Wilson placed second, and Pikeville placed third.
